Different Power Connectors on the Same Power Cable

No. This is the first I've heard of them. Been doing some research from your suggestion. Looks very good...

What Speakers SOUND GREAT with Moderate-Powered Tube Amps (27 -85 WPC)? SET or Push -Pull is fine! What are those Speaker Designers doing differently?

The Alon Lotus SE mk ll was specifically designed to work with low powered tube amps and that included a 14 ohm woofer to maximize amplifier power efficiency in the low octaves. There were many options that could be had including AlniCo magnets on the tweeter and woofer in the Signature series...

Different Power Connectors on the Same Power Cable

I've been experimenting with Oyaide P and C plugs on different power cords and different configurations for over a decade now with some very satisfying results but the one combo that has stood out is taking a P-046 or C-046 connector and removing the outer shell and installing the M1 or F1...

    MIT Cables - Power Products

"So, similar to the speaker and interconnects, MIT Power cables have active (switchable) circuits. I'm guessing EM Tech is perhaps a mini PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit that is right on the power cable itself." Only the 2C3D power cord has the switchable EM and also has PFC, the EVO cord...

    Pivoting Linear-Tracking Tonearms

I have the Thales Easy on a VPI Scout but the tonearm is mounted separately in a VPI motor pod and I've implemented AS from a VPI kit. Yes it sounds better in that the soundstage is solidified with just a wee bit of AS applied but the true virtues are tracing across the record. On some records...

    Internal chassis damping?

I agree with the fo.Q damping tape especially the TA-102 tape. Use it in steps as it is very powerful and can overdamp a component to the state of lifelessness. I also use the Golden Sound Acoustic Discs for chassis/component vibration control to very good effect.

    New Speaker Cables

The new MIT EVO One speaker cables are giant killers. In fact, I was so impressed with the first pair on my Genesis G500 speakers I bought a second set for my GF's system which has Alon Lotus SE MK ll speakers. As others have mentioned, it would be wise to audition such a cable in their own...

    Synergistic Research Tranquility Pod

I had one of the very first Tranquility Base prototypes and it impressed right off but later trading it in for the UEF Tranquility Base which sits under my phono preamp to great effect. Yes they work as claimed but I think it is more of a final voicing product when one has addressed other more...

    MIT Cables - Power Products

I asked my dealer to ask Bruce about the EM technology and his response was "Try it both ways as it is system dependent. Keep it on the one that sounds best in your system". I liked it with the EM engaged as it added body to the instruments and solidity and spacing to the soundstage. I also have...

    MIT Cables - Power Products

Yes, I have the new generation of MIT power cables, namely the 2C3D AC power cord and the EVO AC power cord. It took about 7 days for each to open up and show their characteristics but they are extremely good. The EVO AC on my Nola sub is a revelation in that it totally opens it up and extends...
