I know it’s far out of my league, but $110k oddly doesn’t seem that unreasonable for something of Steinway quality when you consider the cost of some gear.
I’m anxious to see them integrated into your amazing space. I love wood and think they’re going to look great. I hope they perform equally well for you. One thing is for sure, you have the ears and gear to know. Hope my envy is not TOO obvious.
Very happy for you Mike. I'm a big fan of Trevor and Massif. I had a custom built rack from him exported from Canada to our house in Brazil. The export/import process turned out to be more than I bargained for, but the result is stunning. Trevor has always gone out of his way to make sure...
That is so very sad Mike. I'm sorry for your loss. I bought Jonathan's personal Playback Designs MPS-5 Reference SACD/CD Player & DAC several years ago. I'm glad to still have it. He was a delightful human being and a pleasure to deal with.
If that's the case you should also look at Stillpoints Aperture II Acoustic Panels. They magically do both, absorb and diffuse. Good luck!
BTW, @morricab was just making a joke because the title of your post is "Witch Product" rather than "Which Product".
Having never been in your room I can't say for sure. But it's been my experience that diffusion on the front wall has yielded the best results in my room. But it definitely looks like a "happy place". :)
Many thanks to the encouragement of you and @CKKeung I have this morning ordered a Silent Switch OCXO Extreme, FiberBox II Extreme and Firebird LPS. I will take the current Silent Switch Standard to the system in Brazil. I'm really looking forward to this!
I can't agree more wholeheartedly as someone who owns both the N20 and N30SA and enjoy them both enormously in their respective applications. But in the same system there is no question that the N30SA is better, as it should be. Unfortunately I have not had any experience with the Taiko...
"How big" the difference is I think has to be a personal evaluation. For me it was more than I expected. I have an N20 that was fed into a Bricasti M1 DAC and I was really quite pleased with it. But then I wanted to get a Lampizator and got a GG2. That's when the doors really started to open...
