Tube preamp suggestions under $11K, new/used

    Lamm LL2.1 recommended replacement tubes

Hello tima, I do not have the L2.1 Ref, as I posted I have the LL2.1. The tube recommendations from the Lamm website for the LL2.1 are such: "What substitution tube types do you recommend for the LL2.1? 12AU7A: 12AU7, 12AU7WA, ECC82, E82CC, ECC802, 5814, 5814A, 5963...

Tube preamp suggestions under $11K, new/used

My room is not complete and just using my system in a temporary arrangement so hard to really tell... I believe there is a more natural sound but I should replace the tubes as they are an unknown right now, original owner wasn't sure when he last changed them. Had him ship directly to Lamm...

    Lamm LL2.1 recommended replacement tubes

I haven't changed the tubes yet in the Lamm LL2.1 preamp I recently acquired and since the previous owner wasn't sure about how old the tubes were I would like to replace them now. When I purchased the preamp I had the owner send it directly to the Lamm factory shop to have it tested and...

Glue from RTI paper/poly inner sleeve contaminating records

Yes, usually it leaves a wrinkle type pattern...many times the sleeve will 'stick' to the record and you will see the leached chemicals... many of the older plastic inner sleeves from the late 50's early 60's also left a residue.

Glue from RTI paper/poly inner sleeve contaminating records

There are other inner sleeve issues as well... remove all the heavy 'pink' hued plastic sleeves used on many audiophile issues.. as these also leach chemicals into the vinyl which cannot be removed.

Glue from RTI paper/poly inner sleeve contaminating records

I did much research on this issue. If the record is noisy from it, which is most, it goes in the trash, as there is no fix. The softener has become part of the vinyl...it actually is leached into the vinyl, not on the surface, and appears as a white stain. I have done tons of research on this...

    Low ceiling (8') treatment

Thank you... I have watched his youtube videos. With different seating and a little slouching, ear height should be between 35" to 38".

    Low ceiling (8') treatment

Yes, I waited all last year for the release of Danny of GR-Research, 'Line Force' as I was very interested... but hopefully by next year.

    Low ceiling (8') treatment

My room is 17.5"W x 22.5"L x 7.8'H I have expanded from 2 separate rooms to one large room. The walls/ceiling are still open. From what I understand, my low 8' ceiling is the biggest problem. From what I understand, the frequency issues I will have are from 160Hz and below. I was hoping to fill...

    Technics SP10 MK3 Restoration

Haven't mounted it to the original Technics plinth. I want to get a 2 - arm custom made plinth and will probably wait until then to set it up.
