proximity effect of speaker magnets to amp transformers?

I have this (from Amazon): I am impressed with the huge emission of certain components, DC and USB cables. And a lot of electrostatic speakers ...! Roch

proximity effect of speaker magnets to amp transformers?

How far were the amplifiers from the speakers? I believe they suggest a minimum distance of 3 feet between speakers and amplifiers. I have had bad experiences regarding the magnets of the speakers generating distortion on electronic equipment very close to them. The warning is on the user...

    USB Cable Choice

LUSH SQ is very good just out the box, but will improve after 100 hours burn in... and even more after 200 ! Please don’t disturb the form and the place of the cable and try to move it away form RFI sources like DC power cables, PSUs, USB 3.0 cable, etc...! At least 30 cms (12” away). Roch

    USB Cable Choice

I just read it, thanks. Only opinions like mine and that I respect, circumscribed to the audio equipment that each one has and of course to the taste of each one. What I want to clarify is that when someone refers to the "musical detail" is not something that impresses me, I do not want more...

    USB Cable Choice

In my humble opinion, it is not only a matter of transparency but of musicality. I love the Lush and it has been six months of being in my system, having tried almost all the possible USB cables. Roch

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

I'm with you regarding Duelund Cast Cu as my favorite. Tried the Jupiter Cooper but I found it a little too edgy in the highs. But I believe is not only a personal preference, but system matching too. Maybe somebody with SE SET amplifiers would like better the Jupiter? I'm waiting for...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

How about coupling capacitors rolling? By listening some other B7's with different caps but the same tubes the SQ differs. I ordered some, arriving from next week to 4 weeks or so (some brands are hard to get...). They are not cheap but a lot less than triode tubes, from US$200 to $500 by...

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

I'd better tell lukasz to optimize it for the KR242. As I stated before mine is 308 mV and feel too high the output, and Mike's GG is 700 mV. Maybe the trick is in some other place, like voltage on music tube heaters? Roch

    Lampi GG 512dsd + 44k + 48k superclocks + RTR PCM + KR242 + grounding post + SGM server----

Mike, I guess it's in page 1 in the raw that indicates "Absolute maximum signal volume". On my B7 is 308 mV that allows me to use 242 tubes, but, have to be careful with the preamp volume: Too much gain from the B7 with this tubes...! I'm interested too, because maybe I'll upgrade to a...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

SS rectis are basically rectifier diodes, tube rectis are tube diodes. Both converting AC to DC. Here is an, maybe, interesting reading: http://www.soldano.com/amp-help/tube-vs-solid-state-rectifiers/ ART sa amp I own have discrete regulation, meaning no ICs, but resistors, caps...

    KR 242, Elrog 300, px4, px25, EML and KR 5u4g, and KR 274b

After 12 hours listening under SS recti I'm surprised, natural sound, excellent tone and rhythm, extraordinary tight bass and accurate midrange, without high frequency ringing. I have no complains regarding soundstage. Under extraordinary recorded classic music maybe is a lack of bloom, for...
