I don’t have to listen to your videos to know that the audio tracks are not the same. Just because they sound different does not mean that they are not sorely colored by the system used for the videography.
Aside from this comment, I have nothing else to say on this subject. If you like...
I’m recuperating from both left and right total shoulder replacements. I’d given up playing instruments because my shoulders were so bad that I had no choice.
In recuperation, I’m finding that as I gain facility and can play again, it is much more fun to make music than to play recordings...
Certainly vinyl isn’t dead. Lots of cool gear to sort through. For those who believe the audio in videos shows off two channel systems, the soundtrack suggests that differences are subtle.
No. It is the wrong cable for that listener listening to that system. A good dealer can readily help by providing good auditions and/or in home trial.
If one buys based on price and what “those guys on the internet said,” without a good demo or in home trial, disappointment should not be...
Unless you’ve listened to his system with him, you’re in no position to judge. What you can judge is how such changes affect your system.
I was a denier for over 30 years. But I changed my view when I started experimenting in my own system.
Your ears, your system. Not your opinion...
No. I mean that you should not waste money for show.
As an example, CJ’s CEO once told me that his designs were not very cable sensitive.
We have to listen for ourselves and make only those changes that matter in our situation.
Do not have anyone reterminate it except Nordost. You will make the value go to zero if you do.
Do not look at asking prices. They are not the market. Look at selling prices. Audio Blue Book, HiFi Shark, … your problem is that these do not have a high volume of used sales so data are less...
Rather than spend up front to reterminate, advertise that you will pay for this to suit the buyer.
Don’t hold your breath hoping to get a big fraction of the nominal value of esoteric cables on resale. Big money spent on cables often turns out to be a sunk cost. You’re paying for the “play...
Bose said they’d work with amps that were rated as low as 10 Wpc. The 2270 was rated (during its short run 50 years ago) at 70 Wpc.
The more important questions are:
- Do my samples of the 2270 and 901 perform to their specs?
- Why would this pairing be worth resurrecting in 2024? Maybe...
My view is that you can’t really evaluate the gear without understanding the music.
I have found that some reproduced music is very difficult to “like” on some systems. But this can change as the system improves. I’ve found myself enjoying many “difficult to love” performances I’d previously...
