Lampizator announcement: launch of our all new TOTL HORIZON DAC

Christoph, as the undisputed "king of TRP" surely you need to expand your Horizon ;)
I'm merely a squire of the TRP compared to my friends from Zürich, @Phonatix and Fabio :D

But I will be able to expand my Horizon when my friend @MJG gets his #12 Horizon...
...hopefully rather soon

So I’m at expona
no one knows me so I can ask easy questions and get honest answers
I made it twice into the room where the H dac is
it’s a big room but seating is reasonably close
I’ll comment tomorrow on all electronics in better details
the tt was playing sounded good not great but had a nice analog sound
I took some picks of the H dAC it has the kt170 tubes
and a tak 274b recti oddly it look familiar thats a dig to a bud
for anyone who had one on order
any thoughts if I hope it’s good or I hope I made the right decision can be answered
I kindly asked the man to play the h dac or when will it be played
he said we play it all day but rotate a tt snd tape deck
it’s all vac but speakers I don’t know name.
All can say for now was holy xxx wow xxx
far above his ttt or tape deck
It made the room morph into a real jazz venue
from drums to strings to top end
it had crazy dynamics and ultra details yet not a hint it was digital
it truly blew my mind
I got pics and videos
it Truly is way above any lampi I heard but more importantly it had all the virtues of top SS dacs but all the glory of top end tube sound.
it’s simple music that creates an event in front of you. this is a game changing event in sound that at the end is a mic drop.
and for those who think the H dac needs an ultra expensive server well I’m not so sure
it’s source was aurender n30
a solid steamer but not 40 to 140 k lol.
N30SA is very good

Just listened to Adderley’s “Somethin’ Else” and, well, it was something else. The Horizon continues to open up.

I own a trp as well. Great dac has the speed I wanted so im
happy with it on headphones. What I heard at axpona is another universe above. that room had good analog and while some vinyl lps are better then others when the H dac came on the room lite up. now I was there many times he did have some way better vinyl at times and it was closer
but aside of all the amazing attributes the H dac has.
what was happening no matter what tracks he played was a sound of pure analog qualities
not smooth nor slow nor lacking jump as some equate to an analog sound. It was a type of continues pleasing presentation to Me.
there were sone very good analog rooms there I went back to to compare
one was triangle audio
another was doshi s room his tape was a wow as was his vinyl. But again the H dac was just a stand out to me
maybe it’s just the sound of lamli tube magic.
and yes the server they used was very good as well
ps great vinyl and setup well is truly magic as well

N30SA is very good
I know the Taiko is darling of WBF but I picked up an N30SA three weeks ago and I am one happy camper. Looking forward to seeing how will play with the Horizon. It sure does well with the GG2.

The n30sa is linux and a very stable streamer too. But taiko is windows
im a windows but

@rau Amazing you have that pairing at your fingertips.
The three direct comparisons that still have me most intrigued but cannot find wbf user intel on:
- Wadax reference server & DAC directly compared to the Taiko server & Lampizator Horizon (i know mike L’s experience was different)
- Extreme server compared directly to the Aurender N30 (@rau may be the one?!)
- And to a lesser extent, but equally compelling to me, the Nordost Qnet compared to the M12 Gold Switch in use with the above mentioned server and/or dac components.

I know this much I would never spend that kind of money on a Wadax reference server & DAC and if I did I would seek a shrink

You should seek it anyhow :p
And when the next winter comes in your depressing neighborhood you'll get Wadax just to kill the time before next spring (which comes in July:D:D)

Aurender will release MC20 in next time. It is the ideal companion for N30SA. I think it will give your system to the another level.

The first day of spring is followed by the first and last day of summer, otherwise known as mosquito hatching day. Plenty of time for indoor sports.;)

rodny we should not say what others love or would buy is wrong , im sure your strugaling not go wadax lol. i get you and dont even go to your $$ hights . if it makes them happy im happy for them, and on that thought when are you happy and for how long lol . not meant as a dig truly being honest , i can spend as you and could not live with myself . its not the cost its the mental thought do i derserve it , would i truly care enough to own it and enjoy it . i told you many times the chase is the deal . but for some not me and only short term for you is there the wow . your setups sound very good and ill bet the H dac is above the past videos . its tough for us to stay happy , its why im really trying to stand still for a bit . last 2 trips to nyc no audio what a dumb ass i am at times . but since the show return im playing all day and night .
