I may be in Orange and Purple County but I still bleed green deep inside. :D Thanks so much to Steve and Cathy for hosting us on this unforgettable SoCal trip. Now I know why Steve moved back here from Danville. Such a beautiful and serene place to live.

Very nice, Tango.

Hello Mr. Tang!

Iceland is an excellent place for eco tour. Each place of attraction is not so far from one another unlike New Zealand where you have to travel many hours from different places. I never had a better tasting water...even put some from the water fall in a bottle back to the hotel. You can see my wife Kate really enjoyed it there. The wind was so strong Kate can do Michel Jackson’s Smooth Criminal move and didn’t fall.

My daughter has been bugging me to visit Iceland with her. It's on top of her bucket list. To see the northern lights is her dream. Now that you mentioned that every place is near each other, I am a bit interested. Very nice pictures, Tango.

My youngest daughter since graduating Vet School, has been on a tear in terms of traveling. In the last 3 years, she has been all over Europe twice, Thailand, Iceland, Patagonia, Bhutan, Azores, Namibia as well as Montana/California/FL/Las Vegas/Colorado.

Attached is a picture she took after a long hike in Patagonia. Nice to be young. DSC00769.jpg

Wow, absolument majestic!

I completely endorse a trip to Iceland. I have been there now twice with Tinka.

And I recommend going sooner than later as to what the economic plans are for Iceland. Tech companies are looking to set up shop their using the combination of climate and geothermal to power huge numbers of cloud servers. Right now their main economy is tourism which many believe will be changing shortly. Enjoy it while you can

I was reflecting on this question just this past weekend - my top 3 countries visited:

New Zealand
Argentina
Japan

Would return to all 3 of them and likely will do so in my later years...

The song about leaving your heart in San Francisco...it's like my home away from home.

I thought it would be crazy to live along this street, the famous zigzag road on Lombard.

In my only trip to China in the early 80s, I had to see the Great Wall and walk on it to feel how great this structure really is. My eyes could follow its length through the mountains and it is a mere fraction of the total length of it. Digicams were not invented then so this was shot with 'analog' film. :)

you're always welcome here should you ever decide to visit this side of the globe

Jadis even visited me about 8-9 years ago while I was living in the SF Bay Area and I visited him and Jack and Sam and Gerry 2 years ago in Manila
