Do I understand that you take a review of an entry level product and draw conclusions on their top of the line SUT? As already mentioned in another thread to another poster, I never make comments on products which I never had the chance to listen to in a familiar environment. I owned a Consolidated SUT Silver for several years and confronted it directly against the Phasemation T-2000. Don't take me wrong, the Consolidated SUTs are excellent but I found better, unfortunately not in the same price range...
I totally agree with you. Thanks to good François from ana mighty sound I was able to compare some different SUTs on the MSL SIGNATURE PLATINUM. The system consisted of the YUKI AP-01 turntable with glanz MH 1200S arm, Phono phasemation EA 1200 and EA 2000 preamps, Thrax Libra 300B preamp, Dartzeel NHB-108 power amp and Stenheim Alumine FIVE speakers. The SUTs were the Consolidated audio in silver, the two phasemations T 1000 and 2000 and the Msl 1030. The general opinion for how good all the SUTs sounded was that the phasemation T 2000 was a cut above the others but the consolidated audio was no slouch at all and that it was an object you could live with very well.

I already make my own loading plugs when using an MC stage and want to adjust the loading values. Very easy to make just requires 2 quick soldering joints.
I'm happy for you, after all Michael Ulbrich builds really good SUTs and the combination with MSL is something unique. But if you want to get the most, you should also send him your phono and your cartridge, only then would you be sure that Michael can create that synergy that tends to magic. maybe you could also lend him your ears to be able to adapt everything to your personal taste which is made up of nuances that cannot conform to a generalized taste, nuances that fortunately make us different and unique.
There was a shoot out in the U.K. with AN S8 and Slagle silver. I wasn’t there but the guys found it close and one guy bought the Slagle silver. I heard his system with the AN IO gold and AN M7 Japan phono plus preamp, sounds incredibly good.
anyway if you get all these SUTs please let me know and I will fly over to help in the shootout.
I have silver 1:28 step-up transformers from EM/IA (Dave Slagle) that I absolutely love. I compared them to Dave’s copper step-up transformers. The silver transformers were more nuanced and open sounding. I listen to a lot of classical music. With the silver step-up transformers inserted, the music is more inviting and you pick up more of the subtitles of a classical performance. Disclaimer: I’m a huge fanboy of Dave Slagle and his electronic gear. I’ve known him for over 25 years. If you get a chance to listen to any of his stuff, I highly recommend it.

Just ordered one…..
Arrives on monday
Will first test with 42 R NOS Kiseki Purpleheart Saphire and Agaat Ruby
I already have 10 different SUTs and they all have their strength and weaknesses
My favs are the DaVa ag/cu and cu/cu and the Parmeko oilfilled 6000/31 1:40
The Denon AU340/ Tamura also sounds very pleasant
I use the allnic aut 8000 and with the Dava it's awesome but it also makes the MSL sig. platinum, the air tight supreme, the ortofon a 95 and other cartridges sound great. This sut is uniquely versatile. I don't rule out buying the phasemation t 2000 tomorrow which I consider to be at the level of the kondo SFZ. I also really like the old kiseki both the silver version and the copper version
A sleeper if you can find it is the Luxman AD8000 with the transformer cartridges. I have the the 8020 and 8030. 1:20 and 1:32 respectively.
These are pure silver wire toroidial transformers from the 80's at the pinnacle of Japanese phono reproduction---- excellent- difficult to source now.
My preference is gain solely from the pure tube amplified phono preamp of my Io and to avoid a SUT where I can. You just introduce far too many variables that can be detrimental IMO. YMMV. If you can manage quiet NOS tubes throughout- I believe the outcome to be superior - its not an easy feat though.
However, with the DaVa you have to use a SUT - for that I use the RADA Ag/Cu . The Luxman 8030 is stunning as well.
With the receipt of my DaVa Soul this week- Darius indicates that he is going to send me a newly created SUT for me to evaluate. A new design for the DaVa.
When I receive it and have some time on it I will report back.
Yes, but I have to say, I personally liked the Silvercore better. More bandwidth, therefore better dynamics, open, airy, more 3D sound. Since they cost about the same, I'd definitely go for the Silvercore. Everyone has different listening habits, though, and the Lundahl certainly delivers good sound.
I think it works good, lundahl have a superb midrange, further enhances the strength of kiseiki cartridges.
Don audio has something in its program, you just need a nice housing. Example
