In 1974, at the age of 8, I got my first Philco receiver. Then in 1980, I got my first “real” hifi system: Scott receiver, Technics turntable & Teac cassette deck. All throughout my teen and college years (the 80’s), I was an avid music lover and stereo nut. I was the envy of all of my college friends for having the nicest stereo and most number of records! Fast forward 10 years (the 90’s), many of my college buddies began flying me to their homes to design and assemble world-class music & theatre systems. Around 2000, I began buying & selling audio gear as a part-time business. The business continued to build momentum, and in 2008, we officially incorporated SWA.

We moved into our first location in Yorba Linda in January 2009. Within 6 months (knee deep in the recession) we outgrew that location! So in 2011 (at the height of the recession), we purchased the building where we are currently located. Our Anaheim facility is approximately 3000 sq feet, consisting of dedicated listening rooms, an office & warehouse space in back. In 2019, my Sales Manger (Josh) moved to Dallas / Ft. Worth area where he quickly began assembling a nice client base. In 2021, we purchased a building in Keller Texas and launched SWA DFW! That facility is 2800 square feet of showroom, display area & office space.
