The Real Meaning of E=mc² | Space Time | PBS Digital Studios

Thanks Steve! A nice diversion from the mindless sex videos you secretly post

It gets a little clearer when you realize mass and weight are not the same thing.

So: I am lost. When I am sitting still listening to a kit, I am mass at rest. Because the kit is transferring electrical energy via sound waves to my body, I am absorbing energy, of some nature, which is adding mass. Does that explain my weight gain?

Canada, correct? You may be subject to the dreaded Great North beer wave. This rare form of radiation has been known to occur more frequently above the 49th parallel.

The basic e = mc^2 reduction leaves out the most profound parts of the equation relating velocity and relativistic mass... The video takes a decent stab at it. Of course, my quantum physics and math courses dealing with the infinity of the continuum are long, long ago...

No more time to comment, Googling WBF for those "other" videos Steve purportedly posted... ;)

Nice video Steve, thanks.

I have watched that video and a few of their other videos (google has been suggesting them to me) a week or so ago. Not a fan. These are hard topics and finding good teachers in videos is hard too. The one steve provided is one of the better ones but still not what I would recommend people watch.

That was a fascinating video.

Thank you.
