I own an older ESS rack. Removing the black (Delrin?) hats which came as feet with this rack and replacing them with original Stillpoints cones pointing down into inverse risers immediately improved sound.
I have acquired a recent double wide ESS rack. It will get filled with a few hundred lbs of equipment.
I am not looking forward to comparing different devices as footers for this rack.
The thought of lifting it and exchange footers to find optimum orientation etc is a nightmare.
Have you tried Ultra 5 or Ultra 6 as feet for an ESS rack?
What would be the ideal orientation of Ultra 5, beveled side up or down?
