Hi,

I took a chance on a Thorens TD124MKii and I would like to have it restored. Does anybody have any good experiences with such a company or shop? Thanks

Now the $64 question what tonearm works well with these? SME?
Also what's the difference between a TD124 and the MkII ?
I found a Graham 1.5 TC tonearm with the WBT box NIB so I have that on hold.
Any thoughts if this arm is a good match with the Thorens

I'd say a FR64S. Essential upgrade is the Swissonor platter. A sonic improvement. Same weight as the original, but non-magnetic. The MKII platter is considerably lighter and doesn't work as well as the Swissonor
