Have a Ortofon SPU Royal A on the way and wanted to get some opinions on a SUT to use with it. My setup consists of a Garrard 301 with a 12” Schick. I currently use a AN S2 SUT into my Audio Tekne preamps MM phono pre when I run my Ana Mighty Sound Sculpture or Koetsu RWS.

Whilst my experience of SUT's is relatively limited I can highly recommend Dave Slagle's (Emia) silver SUT's. I use one with my Audio Note Io and it is very much better in every respect than any other SUT I have used with it. I haven't tried any of the higher end Audio Note's or the silver Kondo though.

As an aside can you tell me who made the plinth for your Garrard please? I use a Garrard 401 and am looking for a plinth for it that will take two 12" arms. I have considered using separate arm pods but am concerned that they could get moved so I would need to continually align them.

Thank you, I have contacted them. Can you give me any details on the construction of your plinth please?
