I can't speak on behalf of Seth, but I'm thinking they are more for aesthetics than garnering an improvement in sound quality.

Thanks for the kind words on my system.

John is correct, the cable elevators are more for a cleaner look than for an improvement in sound. But if they do at all help in the sound department that's a plus.

Yeah hopefully by the summer I'll have that 75 inch (or larger) flat panel 3D TV. I'm also really hoping that Denon offers an upgrade for the AVP-A1HDCI pre/pro to include HDMI 1.4 and Audyssey xt32. Right now there's unconfirmed reports about a planned upgrade, but hopefully something official will be announced by Denon.
