Saw this movie yesterday and I must say that it was fun to watch and somewhat engaging although slightly long. I must admit that the 4 of us set off to watch the new sequel to the "Vacation" series but after reading the MRQE rating of 45 my son and I decided to see Mission Impossible which started at the same time. My wife and her mom however did brave the Vacation film. When we caught up after both movies were out my wife said Vacation was worse than anything she had ever seen as it was just horrible. So forget that one
As for Mission Impossible at 132 minutes it was a bit long but still fun to watch.
Synopsis from MRQE.....
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his teammates reunite for this pulse-pounding sequel, in which they attempt to take down a secret international organization known as the Syndicate--highly skilled ex-IMF agents who are intent on bringing down their former outfit. Christopher McQuarrie directs this new entry in the Mission Impossible franchise, with Jeremy Renner, Alec Baldwin, and Simon Pegg co-staring
I must say that Cruise looks as fit as can be and appeared quite buff. Some of the stunts I must say stretches the envelope of imagination such as when he is holding onto the side of a cargo plane as it is taking off---he did do the stunt but obviously it was green screen shot
