Hi,

Is there any place on the internet where I can find the current price list (MSRP) for the Magico lineup?

Thanks!

You likely won't find a published price list online, mostly due to the fact that prices differ from country to country due to differences in import duties and distributor business models. If I recall correctly you're in the EU so your best bet is to check Magico's website for the distributor in your area or contact Magico directly for a referral.

Most of the current models have multiple reviews in multiple countries and most of the time those reviews will list pricing in the publication's home market. You can at least get an idea from those sources as well.

I thought someone posted prices on a few of the models on the S5 thread?

Sorry I should have clarified that I am looking for the US Retail prices.

If there isn't a price list as such, can someone please let me know the current MSRP prices for the Q1, Q3, Q5, S1 & S5? How often do Magico prices change? Once a year? Or more often?

Thanks.

The last price hike was in December 2012/January 2013, around 10-12%.

or down....
Q3: 39k, not $48k
Q5: 65k, not 75k.
I know they sound like more expensive ;-)

I think the prices quoted throughout are all a little off, but Magico has made it harder to keep track with various price increases and now the M-Cast (paint) option, which costs less than anodized. For example, I think the S1 is $12,600 for the M-Cast but $15 (approximate) for anodized.

In the US, I'm fairly sure the anodized cost of the Q Series (as of April 2013 when prices increased again):

Q5 $71,500
Q3 $42,850
Q1 $28,950

Your prices on the Q sound correct for anodized. the prices I mentioned were for M-cast.
Just one correction on the S1: I don't think it is proposed in anodized, the two options I got proposed are Mcast at 12.6k and M-coat (=glossy paint) at around 15k if I remember well.

And Q7's are in the category "if you have to ask you can't afford them" = $185K.

keep in mind also that US prices above are without VAT. In most European countries you already add around 20% VAT....

Ah yes that is a very good point.
But still they all maximise the currency exchange or ignore it resulting in a 1:1 ratio; specially when it involves transatlantic manufactured products.
I do not blame the audio manufacturers just the way it is with all products no matter what sector involved when one creates a sales-business-support model/channel for each region (and this is a critical logistical process that is required IMO).

There is a used pair of Magico Q5s on Audiogon today, for $35K. The seller has 423 positive feedback points, and zero negative feedback.
These speakers are listed as 9/10 on the Audiogon scale, and located in Illinois.
My question is what's up?
These are current model Magicos, highly rated. I am aware that these are supposed to be the hardest to drive speaker, in the Q series.
I believe these have been listed now for at least 2 or 3 months.....

I have been watching re-sales on certain items for the last few years...Magico is one of them. Some of the units seem to have been asking prices lower than i admit i expected, and at first i was surprised. But i have now seen it a few times.

I think the person placing the ad is actually a dealer in Illinois. Not sure if he has a storefront here or not.

He is a dealer, but not a Magico dealer. The seller is his customer, not sure why the customer no longer likes the speakers. The dealer has listed those speakers several times, and for as low as $31,500 if memory serves.

I believe the price is low because of the negatives associated with the Q5 (oldest Magico model; large and heavy; very inefficient; no longer in production (?) because of coming Q6).
