So having landed an GG2 SE with R2R. I have some basic questions outside of valve choice...
  • Despite having a large number of power chords I can't hear a difference between any of them. For those that can hear something is it subtle or obvious? To me quite the opposite of interconnect and speaker cables which I find make very noticeable differences.
  • I seem to have some big improvements from spike sounds will magnetic feet. Are you all using the stock feet that came with the dac? (haven't tried these yet). The tubes seems very impacted by vibration having put tube dampers on an seen a big reduction in boominess.
  • Is USB the default choice of connector? I have the super clocks installed. Any point trying other connectors? I would have to buy cables so won't do this if it's not worth it. I haven't played around with different USB's before, the one I have is midrange. Is there much difference in sound quality (or similar to mains cables)?
  • Should I bother with the ground cable? Any difference in sound with it in?
  • Any other tips?
Thanks! Tim

The difference in power chords has been quite large on various systems I have tried the Lampi in. I prefer both shun Mook reissues resonators as well as the symposium roller balls below the Lampi instead of the standard feet
