Certainly deserving of a top 10, if not top 5, Ana Popovic:

And to see her shred, channeling Stevie Ray, well:

Steve, let me know if you're interested; she's coming to the Biscuits & Blues in S.F. on Fri, 9/23. I will be there for the 8:00 p.m. show, seated dead center, 5 feet from the stage.

Bonnie Raitt is usually considered as the 'gal to beat' in the guitar aficionados forums. Not sure if she is my favorite female ax player, but she does have talent. Orianthi is certainly worth mentioning here, she has a few good licks:D

One of the VERY best is Orianthi Panagaris. She's from Australia.

I'd put her top 3 as of right now.

If we're talking base guitar, the best one IS Tal Wilkenfeld!!!
