Midwest fly over state..
We had never seen the PBS series and based on a friend's glowing recommendation we purchased the boxed set from Amazon. What an outstanding production! But be forewarned, it's addictive. We often find ourselves saying "just one more episode" way past midnight...highly recommended.

We watched the first two seasons. The lethal, vicious aristocrats of "The Tudors" have now become all cuddly cute and such mensches.

The only problem is that now my wife demands that I wear livery and address her as "Your Ladyship."

..has she demanded that you stop bathing? :)

No, I discovered that on my own. But I change my underwear at least every two weeks.

Shouldn't your butler be doing that for you?

In her world, I AM the butler. I gather the butlers change their own underwear, unless you are talking extra special kinky.

After last seasons surprise ending I am not sure what direction the show will take this year.

We're in the middle of season 2 so...shhhhh

Another little known BBC series you might enjoy is Foyles War. World War 2 era. Addictive.

Thanks for the tip. Too bad only the 7th season is available on blu-ray.

I concur.

Just finished season 3...I see what you mean. I love this series but to say that they jerk the viewer around would be an understatement. It reminds me of the old spinning plates routine but you gotta love those Brits! ;)

For those who enjoy Downton Abby another excellent Brit series carried by PBS is "Call The Midwife". The first two seasons were very enjoyable and Season Three is in the works.
