Nominations for the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards were unveiled on Thursday from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Paula Patton and Peter Krause were on hand to read the nominees in 25 categories.

Winners will be announced on Jan. 11 at the Beverly Hilton in a gala co-hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and airing on NBC. The most recent ceremony attracted nearly 21 million viewers -- the most since 2004.

The Globe nominees are often a predictor of Oscar nominees. This past year, the Globes chose the eventual Oscars best-picture winner, "12 Years a Slave," as its best drama, for instance.

George Clooney will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the upcoming Globes. Greer Grammer, daughter of actor Kelsey Grammer, will serve as Miss Golden Globe.

You're correct on both counts Keith. Sorry bunch of movies plus Angeline was snubbed. I hope she didn't tuin an otherwise marvelous book

Could Angie's movie even be considered given that it isn't releasing until Dec 25th?

I guess what I'm trying to say is: if the Foreign Press hasn't SEEN the film, how can they nominate it for anything?

They have indeed seen all of the films Floyd

They have either been to private screenings and/ or solicited by the film company by sending a DVD of the film to all members of the Foreign Press
