This is a spectacular bluray. PQ is improved over the SD version, and though not of, say, Apocalypse Now quality, the remaster is very good. Clean blacks, color and flesh tones are on point, and tonal gradation very nice.
Audio is very good too. Can you imagine a better application for surround sound than a sub movie?
Major thing to me though is the longer director's cut. It's absolutely excruciating to be stuck in the sub with the guys so long, attack after attack.... And though the writing every now and then is a bit on the nose, having the time to get deeper into some of the characters really pays off.
