I could never understand why 2 men wearing white gloves carry out the Stanley Cup given to the champion team only to be hoisted and carried around by every smelly sweaty player on the team putting their paw prints all over it

congrats.. I did not follow NHL this year due to Oilers' poor showing (again) and was also busy with other stuff. According to what I gathered, Penner, Greene and Stoll played well for the team.. damn, why do former Oilers shine after they go somewhere else.

Oilers almost did the same the last time they played Stanley Cup, scrambled and had to win last few regular season games to go into the playoff, and lost in OT in game 7 against Hurricanes (beaten by former player Doug Weight).

Must be sweet for the Kings to finally get their first one, did Sutter actually smile this time?
