I would be remiss if I did not say that I have great respect for good lawyers. I call them "good" when they think and work strategically to make good business decision. They are logical, organized, detailed oriented and thoughtful. So this thread is not remotely a slam on the profession. :)

Amir, just as in most professions there are good ones and bad ones. I try and keep it in perspective. Always remember that 50% of lawyers, doctors, pilots, and engineers all graduated int he bottom half of their class.

I do wish that lawyers were prevented from advertising on TV and radio.

I really appreciate the lawyers who are working for me. It's the ones who are working against me that I disdain.

The biggest reform we need to prevent frivolous lawsuits is for the losing plaintiff to pay all the expenses, lost wages and punitive damages to the defendant and for the losing plaintiff's lawyer to be held financially accountable to the defendant for taking on a the case that he lost.

There needs to be consequences for bringing up a lawsuit that you lose.

I may be a lawyer but at least I'm not an audiophile cable company! ha!

And God bless you for that. I'm currently in the midst of both a separation and an estate settlement. I have an unquestionable love/hate relationship with lawyers. :)
