A Vinyl Rainbow

How many of you have different colors of vinyl? I have some-blue-green-red-pink-purple,I get a kick out of those cool shades.

I assume we are only talking about records, e.g. "vinyl" discs?

I have had clear, white, and blue in addition to the standard black. Don't really recall much difference except the blue one was very noisy (probably nothing to do with the color). I know there were lots of articles about trades among performance, noise and hardness of vinyl of different colors.

At one time I had a metal LP, I think Al, that was a test record that was supposed to never wear out. It did...

I suspect most of us have an assortment of LPs that cover the rainbow of colours, I know I do. I don't seek them out, but I also don't shy away from purchasing them. I've not had any issues with them, so I ignore the discussions about coloured vinyl being somehow inferior. Sure, I've had one or two that were returned, but not because they were coloured...they were simply bad pressings (noise, skips, whatever).
