Installed into my SII DAC and DD yesterday
What did MSB due?
More bass, body, depth, layering, dynamics. Its like a whole new sonic presentation.
Everything more real, highly recommended!

I saw this too, can anyone comment if it impacts sound quality for DACs without a DD?

Thanks for your advice! I’d like to know also for Premier without DD setups if the update is recommended or not and which improvement is expected. Maybe a few more descriptions on the MSB website page could help.
Anyhow I’ll give it a try as soon as possible.

Another poster mentioned in another thread that they reached out to MSB, and was told the only change this FW addresses is the popping sound on pro USB when changing formats

Indeed, here no step up in SQ was heard.

MSB's recommendation is to do the firmware updates on the DACs even if you don't have a DD.
