Only a matter of time! i knew it! how's it sound? i am waiting to get more feedback from BigPond on his new Mephisto monos which are now driving his Alexandrias. (CECTLOX - AN DAC 5 Signature and ARC Ref Anniversary Pre). With the well documented combination of Gryphon and Rockport...i can only imagine when you take the titans of both firms, lassoo them with Transparent Opus cables (which Rockport also uses)...and use an AN DAC 5 Sig as the voice...and place it in a designed room...
as in the Boulder amp thread...another example of the owner/founder flying over to see a customer who spends 6 figures on equipment...the cost of the ticket is well worth it in the context of building a relationship with such a customer...and getting repeat business... this buyer had 2 sets of Colosseum monos and has already upgraded one set to the mephisto monos...and still has another set to go...
To be very honest, if it were not for people like this, there would no second hand market of super-high end SOTA products. And i would not have the system i do now. Thank goodness for people who can afford to take the first hit on depreciation...and keep buying new SOTA equipment!!!

In the listening/demonstration rooms of rockport you see gryphon among others.
Its a shame its not being demonstrated in holland , ah well with such "socialist" taxlaws what you expect
I don't know about that but he definitely seems to know how to enjoy the fruits of his labor! Covered faces aside, I spy young hands on his wife. That's gotta be the cherry on the sundae eh?
Can anyone comment on the sound? Even if its just the sound of the Arrakkis in another system? I have only read a few posts over the years about how great the Arrakis is...and then recently someone posted they felt they preferred the latest Wilsons to the latest Rockports...thanks for any comments!!!
