Over a year spent in design/development phase. One goal - musical brilliance. Mission accomplished.

hi Chris,

+1 on all the comments on the beauty of that 301. it is truely magnificent. bravo!

i owed a Dobbins 301 which i miss greatly on a number of levels. if i ever get a second tt again it will likely be a 301 like that or like yours.

a question. how do you deal with 60hz for the North American market since most 301's are designed for 50hz. my Dobbins 301 used the Loricraft UPS 301 power supply and i thought that worked great.

Hi Mike, Thanks for the kind words. The factory Garrard 301 motor may be configured for 60Hz operation directly on the terminal block and once a stepped spindle pulley of the appropriate diameter is slid into place, you are ready to play. Chris

Eye Candy to my liking. Just set this up today - fully restored Garrard 301 with FR64FX arm (silver) and a Goldring 1042 PU. Plinth by Russell Collinson.

Christopher T. . .I posted some pics of the SP10 you're building for me on page 42 of this thread. Can you share any information about the build? Any additional photos?

Artisan Fidelity Technics Sp10Mk2 Next Generation

Bob, Certainly. Your next generation Sp10Mk2 model features a directly coupled main bearing/motor housing with integral shielded bearing drain, void-less high mass AF Panzerholz plinth, constrained layer damped multi substrate core with integrated active isolation technology by Stillpoints. The phase/speed/logic/control pcb's housed in an external shielded and damped chassis with internal common ground hitch mount, control umbilical fully shielded from controller to motor assembly. Your SH-10e power supply has all the goodies - premium Panasonic and Nichicon capacitors throughout and bench tested/scoped. Of course, phase tracking timing bench test, frequency and reference oscillator motor level calibration, master clock crystal and axillary main board inspection, power supply voltage and rails adjusted and scope checked and last, but not least the removal of the brake mechanism rounds out the job nicely :b Will post pictures of the speed control/logic chassis once completed. By the way Bob, your next gen table is the quietest running Sp10Mk2 I've yet to hear, we are talking pitch black backgrounds here.
