Well Tempered table and arm, various cartridges, starting including Grado Reference and high output Van de Hul.
The WTT was pretty heavily tweaked over the years. It was a good table, and huge bang for the buck (and the design concept, particularly the arm, was significant), but I don't think it would stand up to today's best tables.
The revised AR and then one of my best tables, the SOTA Star Sapphire.

Quad ESLs, from around 1973 on, with, over time, various woofers, super tweeters (Decca Ribbons, Sequerras), eventually went to Crosby Quad 63's. I only stopped using electrostats in 2005-6, when i switched to horns.What speakers during that era ...?

Very similar path , DQ 10's with subs, ESL57's and later acoustats .....my time with the DQ10 is what later got me into speaker designing ...
At the time the best system for me was the Levinson HQD setup , via Peter McGrath's master tapes , you know , similar to the "New" tape trend today...
