I really can't get Hozier at all, and was very disappointed in the sound quality of his CD as well. Don't know if the LP is mastered differently, and no disrespect at all to those who like his music.

We're all entitled to our opinions and I certainly respect yours. With regard to the vinyl....it's a disappointment. I don't know how much to blame on the recording or the pressing, but I'm guessing it's a lot of both. You win some, you lose some.....it is what it is.

I think the Hozier album is superb musically. I also think the recording is very good. I have the 24/48 download, and It is possible the CD and LP are mastered differently. I listened to it on my systems, in the car, and on my phone and had no,issues withy the sound quality.

Musically yes. I am a big fan and love his writing, but the vinyl misses the mark...it really does.

Christian McBride Live at the Village Vanguard 24/96. Sounds just like their recent concert at the Jazz Standard. Worth it if just for their version of one of the great jazz standards of all time. Car Wash! :D
