As a guitar player and teacher, I listen to many fellow 'axe' players.....Tonight I re-discovered why i admire Robin Trower so much. His playing is superb and his technique is phenomenal, just IMHO.

Anyone else a MAJOR Robin Trower fan like me:D

Robin is 66 and is still an amazing player. Been a fan since 1976 and consider Bridge Of Sighs to be one of the greatest rock albums of all time. A stone cold classic.

I went to see Robin Trower in concert once. The thing I remember the most about the concert was an incident that made me want to quit going to concerts. Some idiot lit a pack of firecrackers and threw them. They landed on this woman's head who had one of those teased-up hairdos that looked like a rat's nest. Security goons pounced on the kid that threw the firecrackers. When they got down to the left side of the stage and were trying to escort him out of the main venue, the kid started kicking both of the security goons and he ran away.

Robin Trower never *stuck* with me.

Mark, That's a shame that you had to witness that at Robin's concert:(. I guess i was lucky, I have seen Robin live several times and no issues:cool:
I listened to 'For Earth Below' last night, it is such a great LP and song:D

Hello!
A friend introduced me to Robin Trower in 1974. Martin said "Don't buy the domestic, get the British import. I picked up a UK pressing of "Bridge Of Sighs" and have NEVER been so blown away. The tone that he gets from his Strat just leaves me drained emotionally but craving for more. I have seen Trower over the years when he makes it to Canada. The ex and I went to New Jersey for gigs and to Buffalo as well.
Though for me, I think that the late James Dewer had one of the best voices in rock or pop.

Leslie, I am lucky to have the Uk pressing of Bridge of Sighs as well.. One of the reasons i began playing guitar "in the day" was the inspiration that RT gave me. Today, I still try and emulate his sound as much as possible..IMO, he really is something else:)
