How else are we going to successfully kill this hobby if we don’t denigrate the crap out of each other

How is this a format bashing thread?

For me cd is dead.

Or are cd fanbois so threatened any discussion is seen as cd bashing?. Sometimes you are what you think.

For me - nothing related to music is dead! As I love music so much, I listen to ANY format, ANY kind of system, high end, low end, analog or digital, mono, stereo or surround… it does not matter that much as long as the music is overwhelming… however.. and do not misunderstand me… I do PREFER a high end, high resolution system… But to me the music comes FIRST… If nothing high end is around, a small transistor Fm/Am radio will do more than good? :D !

It's like saying vinyl is dead. Doesn't make any sense.

For me cd is dead. For any digital music required, streaming is it for me.

I don't know any person under 30 that buys cd's. I know maybe a dozen that buy vinyl. Streaming is still the largest % of their music consumption thou.

For young people cd has zero tactile or physical beauty, unlike vinyl.

What will I last longer as a commercial format - cd or vinyl?

Great. The world revolves only around you. Fantastic.

I don't listen to vinyl at home. Do I say vinyl is dead? No.
