What is the current US price for the 12FH? I have emailed the US distributor with no answer? Love to have an idea? Hope to hear them at Axpona in April.

I'm sorry if we missed your email. Don't recall seeing it come in, apologies for that.

List on the 12FH is $32,500.

We'd be happy to have you out for a demo, but we do not presently have plans to attend AXPONA any longer.

Hi Matt,

Knowing Gunter he will not go to Munich as he’s never going. He does one show in CH usually and some private stuff in Monaco. He’s more into private demos in his studio.

Cheers,
G

We are honored for The Absolute Sound to award our Florida Audio Expo room, debuting the Tobian 12FH speakers alongside the LampizatOr Horizon DAC & Gulfstream server as "Top 5 Most Aspirational" systems at the show!

"Another speaker introduction took place in the DSG room. Tobian [sic] is a Swiss company of that I was unaware of until FLAX, probably because it is only six years old. The company builds horn speakers, and the pair that had their U.S. debut in Tampa, the $32,500/pr. Tobian FH12, was very impressive. I first mistook the FH12 as a hybrid unit with a horn tweeter and a dynamic woofer. In fact, the woofer is a folded horn, which makes it much more cone-like in size. Tobian [sic] says the driver extends down to a true 20Hz, and the speaker’s overall sensitivity is a very horn-like 98dB. The sound was excellent."

"The Tobian/Lampizator [sic] put together a $250k system built around its impressive new Tobian FH12 hybrid horn speaker. They were fronted by the big VAC Statement amps and the ubiquitous Lampizator Horizon tubed DAC and server. At this price, the sound should be exemplary, and it was. The horn was especially realistic on percussive instruments like the hi-hat, but in truth everything about the system was impressive."

Well Tobian works much much longer then those six years…sometimes would be nice if they could get their facts straight before publishing…

I'm honestly not sure where the 6 years came from, but I understand these reviewers have a ton of rooms to visit and have seen them trying their best to hurriedly take notes.

We're just pleased they loved the room as much as we did and reported so accordingly

The 12FHs are indeed outstanding speakers, but I'm extremely excited to bring in a demonstration pair of the next model up--the 15FHs. I just received some teaser pictures of the cabinets for the pair I'm hoping to have available for demonstration on Long island in the next couple weeks (plus a bit of burn in time).

I *love* my veneer choice on this set.
