i've got one ERC pressing. ERC012, Albeniz, piano, Magda Tagliaferro

it's quite good, maybe even very good, but not exceptional. lovely tone, ease and flow. pulses with energy. not the quietest pressing. maybe a more educated ear would value this more than me.

not really interested in another at the price.

I just received Sonny Rollins Way Out West in Stereo.

I make it a habit to clean all my records upon receiving them and after 4/5 plays, this one I decided not to but will clean it following my routine.

Very well packed, and packaged. Tough time getting the sleeve out of the jacket. I played the first side, and thought it was well done. Could not get the sleeve back in the jacket and said screw it.

Will see what they say about that, have to say something at $425.00 a record as 33 rpm

I have to agree on the quietness. In today's world of One Steps, Tone Poets and SRX's they should be quieter for that price. I have three and I'm done. I do appreciate their passion however. The value just isn't there for me.

One thing to bear in mind with low production pressings ( <300 ) is the 'hot stamper' phenomena. To illustrate, test pressings are not often totally silent. Of course plant quality, material quality etc. also major factors...

Considering the price I think that's something they should address.
