Fun article!! Agree on the boulder 2060 and Gryphon. I have heard the 2060 and run with the Gryphon Colosseum and also understand the Mephisto is superior....particularly with an intense, pure sweetness in the mids and treble. Have truly been impressed by Rockport since first hearing Merak Sheritan II, and Magico since hearing V3, Q3, Q5. Not as much a fan of Ayre monos...and not sure about the preamp amongst all others out there. Scarlatti extremely impressive but ultimately did not love. Prefer Metronome, Stahl-Tek or Zanden.
