Yes, those multi-colored records definitely sound better :D

I'm enjoying the ride. Vinyl lovers have never had it this good!

I never thought I'd see LPs being sold at the local mainstream music/video shop again. The last time was in the very early 90s!

It can't be the sound, it must be the abundance of petroleum, it being so cheap

It's the preponderance of hipsters that are helping refuel the vinyl comeback (along with beards);)

Seriously though: What it has done is increase the competition for used vinyl, causing an increase in price. My last trip to the Princeton Record Exchange, I was amazed at the 20 somethings buying used LPs (probably buying back their parents records that they sold for 10 cents on the dollar). The advent of the CD may have been touted as the death of vinyl, but it was the crappy MP3 that gave vinyl new life.

I started buying records in the 60's, riding my bicycle to the store. In the 70's i was still acquiring it but slowly. I still have most of it. And my equipment was marginal at best.

Today I have a better budget for vinyl and equipment. The trend is welcomed by me.

Who says it can't be the sound?
