Probably a lonely thread due to very limited numbers out in the field, but has anyone tried or heard the stainless upper platter ? I bought mine with the duraluminum. I understand that the stainless may provide more punch.

I have one in stock but my room is undergoing renovation. It's currently with another AF1 owner but he says he likes his Super D platter so much he hasn't had the itch to even try it.

Reading the Ken Kessler Hi-Fi news review, the super d is the most neutral sounding, the stainless more bass punch and attack and the resin platter a softer presentation.

Yeah, that's what Motofumi told me as well. It should help guys that are attached to particular cartridges or have particular speakers they want to balance against. At the very least, it's an option just to play around with to keep things fresh now and then.
