Hello, WBF members. The link below is from NASA back in 9/21/2010 and explains the discovery of Gliese 581 G. An exoplanet that may possibly hold the key factors for life.

Just posted yesterday, the link below states that the recent data from the Kepler space telescope reveals billions of Earth-like planets near Earth.

This planet is only 13-20 light years away [the articles conflict]. Not that one would want too but with being that close to Earth, one could travel there and back within their lifetime. Not our lifetime, of course. We'll be dead and gone before it's even determined that it would be a safe venture. Still, pretty cool knowing that there may be more than just a handful of Earth-like exoplanets out there in the vastness of space.

I saw it earlier this morning. Thanks for posting it. Even though it is 13-20 light years away doesn't mean anyone can visit it in their lifetime unless the speed of light is met or exceeded or a new form of space-time travel is found
