Phoebe's self-titled debut is getting the 45 RPM treatment from AP and is up for pre-order now. The release date is scheduled to be January 22, 2013. Mastered by Ken Gray, which likely means a mastering from the orginal tapes, I am anxiously awaiting this release.

Here are 2 clips of her that anyone will recognize.

I am a big fan and this release is a definite first-day purchase for me. Her voice just melts me. "Angelic" is a word I would have no hesitation in using to describe her voice.

Bring it on Phoebe and thanks Chad!

great news. had Steve Hoffman mastered them instead of kevin i'd been doing backflips. It will be interesting comparing the 33 rpm DCC LP with this offering.

I'd be interested to hear your take on that comparison. However, I only have an original release (great shape though), so I have no doubt this will be a step up. At least I hope so. I just adore her.:)

i just received my copy today of the new 45 rpm reissue and played the DCC first and APO vers next. WOW!! was my first reaction, it bettered the DCC by a fair margin and is reference quailty for sound and it goes without saying, the music is a "10" as well. The SQ is stunning, its like a sonic wayback machine to great pop music from 1975 - clear mids, warm acoustic and just the right tubbiness to the bass but not too full. John, you're gonna love it.

I am reminded of a live CD(I'll post the title if anyone is nterested) where Ms. Snow comments on her fans. In recieving song adviice her name went from Phoebe to to Phoebs to Ph.... She was quite amused.

Acoustic Sounds has also announced this title on SACD - no release date yet. I have it in my wish list. Second the thanks to Chad Kassem of Analogue Productions for such quality reissues from the original masters.

Thanks so much for that review Rob. I have it in my cart and will pull the trigger within the next week. I'm trying to decide on a few others so I can do one shipment.
