Munich HighEnd 2024

The Stenheim 2.5's have a sensitivity of 93dB, Google is your friend.

That’s just loudness, don’t say how easy it is to push the woofer

I have escaped .

Acoustical systems lyravox .

Big is better.
Some real deutsches design here.

The TT in the room was the new SAT table and arm. Not sure of the SAT price, but somewhere between $200K-$300K.

Btw, the only reason that Lorenzo AND A LOT OF OTHER VENDORS have these small plywood rooms on the main show floor there is a several year waiting list to secure rooms on the top floors. Lorenzo is on the waiting list and they think it will still be 1-2 years until they can get an upstairs room.
It might be a mistake to move rooms. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! The only problem with staying there is that there might be a line out the door to get in next year as the room only holds about 10 people at a time. But their set-up worked well for them. What has me scratching my head is wondering what the relative contribution was from their electronics, which nobody seems to know anything about. We're all focused on the speakers, but it was the system that sounded very good, and that of course is more than the speakers alone. For example, this was the snake pit of Zensati cables behind their speakers (sorry for the poor focus). Did that too account for the sound we heard? My guess is that it probably contributed to some degree. So much to unpack when you start to dive into these things.

Gryphons new speaker sounds quit good.
They use a hard tweeter dome if i saw correctly i would have used a soft dome probably

My kind of solid state

The gryphon apex .
Might be the best SS thats for sale.
I could see myself buying that

Actually not so difficult and the more complexity easier to fail .

1. Poor power source with multiple rooms pulling off the same line

2. Undersized and under powered for necessary dB levels needed to exceed noise floor , chit chat and various other noises .

3. Deaf and clueless operators , too low , too high clipping or just don't give a shit

4. Poor playlist not showing strengths of system they want to demo ..

5. The best rooms are those who totally control environment and know how to create a vibe when demoing ..!

Regards
Number 1 is definitely in play. Many of the better sounding rooms were actively cleaning the power.
2 I don’t agree with this based on what I saw from amps with power meters and in room SPL levels.
Mostly agree with points 3-5.
