My father-in-law passed away back in 1986. He had a large collection of what appears to be radio and tv tubes, mostly NOS. However, in that collection was a box I found interesting. It was Mullard EL37 laboratory matched pair of tubes. Box did not look that great but when I opened it the tubes were in pristine condition and does not appear they were ever used. They look brand new. I do not know anything about tubes so wondering if anyone has insight as to what I have before I put them up for sale. Thanks.

They are rare and valuable. The Fisher 80AZ amp that somebody here thought I didn't know about uses them.

When you say "valuable" are we talking about a price range of $500 or more? I don't expect to get full price but then I don't want to give them away either. Thanks folks.

I just did a completed search listing on Ebay and a pair of NOS Mullard EL-37 tubes are bringing around $250. If you have the paperwork/markings that show this pair was factory matched by Mullard, you might command a higher price if you sell the sizzle.

Thanks mep. I don't have any paperwork but the tubes are in the original factory box and the box does say "Laboratory Matched Pair" While the box does not look pretty the tubes are in pristine condition and look like they just came out of the factory.
