One of the things that I taught my kids was that anything labeled as a "collector's edition" isn't. In spite of the title, this Mercury Living Presence sampler box is a stunning 51 cd set. I've been working my way through it with great enjoyment. I already own many of the recordings but this was still well worth getting:
