One Best Actress award is enough for most people, but not Jennifer Lawrence as she was named the top female film star not once but twice at the Critics Choice Awards!

The star took home a Best Actress In An Action Movie for her role as Katniss Everdeen in 'The Hunger Games', and then repeated the feat in the comedy section for 'Silver Linings Playbook'.

The 22-year-old actress is the favourite for a Best Actress Oscar, and continued her march to the ultimate prize with the double victory last night.

There was also good news for those snubbed by the Academy, with Ben Affleck taking home the Best Picture Award for 'Argo' and James Bond film 'Skyfall', which saw Daniel Craig win Best Actor In An Action Movie, Best Song for Adele's theme, and the Best Action Movie gong itself.

In a heartfelt speech following her 'Silver Linings' win she paid tribute to Bradley Cooper, her co-star who took home Best Actor In A Comedy, saying: "The first time we did a scene together you took my breath away, and the first time I watched the movie you broke my heart and put it back together again."

The big prizes of Best Actor and Actress went to Jessica Chastain and Daniel Day-Lewis for their roles in 'Zero Dark Thirty' and 'Lincoln'. Anne Hathaway ('Les Miserables') and Philip Seymour Hoffman ('The Master') won the Best Supporting Actress and Actor awards.

The star of the night however might just've been 9-year-old Quvenzhane Wallis, who delighted the crowd with her unpolished acceptance speech when winning Best young Actress.
