Introducing Trafomatic Audio - Giant Tubes, Giant Steps

I am not a fan of hyperbole-especially the positive praise, noodling that pervades modernity.

To that end I listened for over a year before declaring the Elysium and Tara 30 pairing the absolute best I have heard.

The amplifiers are in a stratosphere of their own in my experience, I find the listening to all recorded music beyond current peers.

In over forty years of critical assessment I have never before heard delay lines and pans so clearly if at all.

During my self affected hiatus I learned more than I thought I knew, again my internal dialogue fringed fever pitch as I felt the strongest possible limbic connection to the intent of the artists and recording/mixing/mastering engineers.

Thank you to the illuminati that forged the path to my joy and exuberance.

On another note once my BD 7 are with me I feel confident that at least twelve moons shall pass until......

KIndest regards,G.

Thank you G, for your candid feelings about the Trafomatic Elysium Monoblocks. The Drinas served a similar place in my ears and soul when fed by the Tara 30a. It is worth noting that Alan Sircom recently finished a review of the Trafomatic Elysium that can be found here. His findings were parallel to your own.

Congratulations Fred!
As a colleague, I want to commend you for daring to go where few US importers are willing to. In an industry of sameness, you are ever the audio seeker, developing relationships with the best, brightest, and most daring designers from around the globe. Keep marching to your own beat, my friend—daring to go where others have not and shining a light on brilliant minds such as Sam at Destination and Sasa at Trafomatic, who are tirelessly advancing the art and science of sound in the home.

Thanks for the kind words Gary. I feel very fortunate to have the relationships that have brought us to this point. Also great to see colleagues who are sprouting their own ideas about sound, value and service.

Any reason why the Pacific is playing and not the Horizon?!

both played. this picture was in the Elysium section to show the Trafomatic. PAC was on the shelf at that time

This looks like great fun. Of course, to me the idea of having the Elysium sans the Tara 30A is hard to fathom. Still and all, this looks like a fun listen. Are their more pics forthcoming?

many videos

ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello everyone, Thanks to Fred Crane of Prana Distribution, the previous distributor of Trafomatic Audio, Hear This was appointed US distributor for Trafomatic in early 2024. Colin King of Gestalt Audio in Nashville will join me in the effort to provide top-notch sales support and service on both sides of the country.

As many of you know, Colin distributes the excellent Wolf VonLanga field coil speakers, a match made in heaven for various Trafomatic 300B and single-ended amplifiers. The Rhapsody 20-watt/channel parallel single-end integrated is one of them; the Glenn mono amplifiers are among the finest commercially available 300B amplifiers. The Eos+ 150-watt/channel push-pull stereo amplifier sounds SE-like in its presentation with power to spare. Many other products are in the line, including the highly acclaimed Primavera SE headphone amplifier, three levels of pre-amplifier, various phono stages, and the mighty Elysium monoblocks!

Thanks so much for your support for those early clients!

Gary & Colin
