Here are the specs:
- Qualcomm quad-core processor at 1.5 GHz (some sites say it is a proprietary Huawei chip)
- 2GB RAM, 4.7-inch screen resolution 1280×720
- 8GB of storage (with microSD)
- 2000 mAh battery
- No 4G.
- Custom Huawei skin
Couple of big strikes against it - no 4G, screen not as good as the competition, and the fact that Huawei is a minor manufacturer running a heavily customized skin. I wish more Android manufacturers would realize that many of us find heavily customized skins a massive turn-off. This is one reason why I don't own a Samsung (the other reason is the awful plastic they use and the cartoonish oversaturated screen). One advantage of Android is the ability to install a custom ROM if you happen to dislike the skin - but for a minor manufacturer it is less likely that a custom ROM will be released, and even if one is released, it is likely to be less well evolved and less stable than ROM's made for popular handsets.
I find it baffling that they want to compete with the iPhone and Galaxy S4 yet they omitted 4G. The 6.18mm thinness suggests they are going after the fashion crowd who don't know how to read a spec sheet. Unfortunately for them, the fashion market is owned by Apple. A no-name Chinese handset with links to the Chinese military is probably the most unfashionable thing you can whip out in a cafe on Rodeo Drive.
