Good article although 11% improvement is not worth the work and risk. The issue is that these cheap LiOn batteries are suspect and you never know if you are getting one that performs as it should. The fact that it has the same marketings does not mean it is from whoever source Apple uses.
Good use of the technique would be if the battery is not holding hardly any charge. Then it is worth it to do this.
