I have ignored some of my older vinyl for far too long and decided a few weeks back to go through it and start playing them again on a regular basis. And I'm loving it! I'm cleaning each record before I play it and I'm amazed at the wonderful dynamics and condition of the old stuff. This is the music of my youth and it's been a great trip down memory lane in many cases.
While I love my audiophile pressings, and still play them obviously, I'm having much more fun right now pulling out a copy of Max Webster-Diamonds Diamonds or Seals & Crofts-Summer Breeze or Bachman-Turner Overdrive II. Just cued up CCR- Green River (minty vinyl -sleeve soso).
What about you? Have you neglected your back catalogue a bit too much? If so, stop it and change direction....go digging!
