Have You Ever Traded Your Gear or Expertise?

I'm not talking about trading a pair of speakers for another pair of speakers but, instead, trading a pair of speakers for, say, something like a bathroom remodel.

I had an old 720p projector laying around in its box collecting dust. Last week I traded it for a couple of bottles of premium tequila.

Has anyone traded their gear or services for something instead of just selling it for cash?

I gave some of my old stuff to some of the guys who helped build my new house, but it wasn't in lieu of payment, it was more of a bonus.

I often give my dealer friends CDs or LPs that I think they'd like but that's about it I think.

I have bartered with and for gear several times. I had a graphic artist do some work for me in exchange for a complete SAE Computer Direct Line 01 system. I did some computer work for a nice lady in exchange for a Rega Planar 3 and B&O 8000 receiver that had belonged to her father. Even some Infinity WTLC speakers I had sitting around were good enough to "rent" a car hauler. The list goes on, but you get the idea.

Many times!, I recall trading a pair of Marantz 5 for a pair of antique wooden chairs (Chipendale style) and on BMW 325i as part of a deal for cash and a pair of Conrad Johnsons 8.
