It will be a first look / "hearing" of Gary's new phono-stage - prototype of course. The one I told him three years ago he wasn't to develop until he finished something else - so it's been "proofing" that long.

Here's the preliminary list of equipment.

We've invited Lyn Stanley to come hang out at our room. In case you don't know Lyn, her first album Lost in Romance was a hit at CES this year. Leading to HiFi News to say

Something possessed this newcomer to ‘our’ world to go for 180g vinyl, 45rpm playback, mastering by Bernie Grundman – she was as surprised as anyone by its reception. The 15 cuts are sung with elegance rather than flamboyance, a la Helen Forrest and Doris Day. Simply gorgeous

Best Sound in Show!!

I don't know how I missed this one...... Neil Gader of The Absolute Sound wrote:

Some of the best sound was reserved for the very nicely dialed-in Genesis room (above) which featured the stunning 2.2 Junior loudspeakers, a towering, line source dipole with servo –controlled powered woofers ($85k), all Genesis electronics, Absolute Fidelity racks and wiring. And spinning the vinyl was the debut of the Vertere Acoustics SG-1 turntable.
