I've got the Ag EMIA here for evaluation. If it works it will stay. It will be part of the phono set up with the AG Autoformer ( truly excellent) from Slagle.

I will try it with my standard Io and some other phono stages in house. Lots going on.

Hi Kcin, any feedback on the Ag EMIA transformer? I am planning on getting one at 1:10 for my EMT cartridge.

Thanks

Hi

@thekong

I used the EMIA up with my Io and the Klyne in many different gain configurations. For my system the straight active was preferable for a number of reasons. Having said this, I have a friend that uses it with with his Kondo phono with Goto horns and loves it.

If your system requires a SUT because of the nature of your cartridge phono interface- its probably one of the best options out there and Dave is very enthusiastic and helpful.

You really have to try. On the other hand, I use the Slagle silver autoformer box and I am in love with it..

YMMV.

Thanks Kcin for the information, appreciated! I won’t be using the SUT with my Io, but plan on pairing it with a LCR phono built by my friend!
