What I like is the top pic featuring the equipment with handles. Wish some more manufacturers would put some handles on their biggggggg... tube amps-not to mention, lose those sharp edges and corners :(

Was it Levinson? that included gloves to protect your hands?

Lots of co's including my beloved amps :) Esp. in small spaces where there's not a lot of room to maneuver.

Yup, I still have a pair of those white gloves with the white rubber dots. Most others have the smooth, thin, cotton "butler" gloves more to protect the amp's surfaces.

Moscode sends gray gloves with dots so you wont burn your hands on the tubes. I liked them so much I bought a pair for myself.

I really like the 3rd one the best.

All great work.

Tony,

I'm like an hour's drive from Whitby ( I live in Oakville).......I'd love to see some of your projects and gear.

My first attempt

I tried a DIY amp kit (Class D Audio) for my first (and so far, only) DIY project. I made a case by getting front and rear panels made from FrontPanelExpress.com, and I bought a shell from Peachtree to match my Nova. Here is a picture of how it looks:

I've since hid the speaker wires better.

Cool. You mean they had the box looking just like the Nova and you just got the front sticky panel from Peachtree?

No. Sorry.

The curved wood thing I got from Peachtree -- basically an extra nova case they were kind enough to sell me. It is the top and bottom and left and right sides (all one piece of wood, or maybe a composite). Then I designed front and back panels from FrontPanelExpress.com:

The amp kit was from Class D Audio

Ah. I thought you were saying parts express had identical box to theirs in which case I thought they were sourcing it through them.
